About
The Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University is one of the oldest, largest, and most prolific university natural history museums in the world. Founded in 1866, its collections include more than 13 million specimens and objects from the natural and cultural worlds, encompassing fossils, minerals, meteorites, archaeological artifacts, and ethnographic objects. The museum's Great Hall of Dinosaurs features Rudolph Zallinger's iconic mural The Age of Reptiles.
