About
Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration in New York Harbor tells the story of the more than 12 million immigrants who passed through the island's registry halls between 1892 and 1954. The Great Hall, where families were inspected and processed, has been restored to its early 20th-century grandeur. The museum's American Immigrant Wall of Honor bears the names of more than 700,000 individuals who made the journey to America.
