Santa Fe, New Mexico

About

The New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe is the state's oldest art museum, founded in 1917. Its collection of over 20,000 works focuses on art of the American Southwest and New Mexico, with particular strengths in the art of the Taos Society of Artists and the early modernists who were drawn to New Mexico's distinctive light and landscape. The museum's 1917 Spanish Colonial Revival building is itself a landmark of Santa Fe.
