The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, North Carolina houses the private collection of the Bechtler family of Switzerland, assembled over 50 years by Andreas Bechtler's family members. The collection of approximately 1,400 works focuses on mid-20th-century European modernism, with significant holdings of works by Jean Tinguely, Niki de Saint Phalle, Le Corbusier, and Max Bill. The museum's building was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta.
