The Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma is one of the finest regional art museums in the United States, housed in a spectacular 1920s Italian Renaissance villa with 25 acres of formal and informal gardens. Its collection of approximately 16,000 works spans world art history, with particular strengths in Native American art, African art, and Italian Renaissance paintings. The gardens, designed by landscape architect Herbert Hare, are among the finest in Oklahoma.
