The Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City is one of the premier natural history museums in the western United States, with a collection of more than 1.5 million objects. Housed in the spectacular Rio Tinto Center, designed by Ennead Architects and opened in 2011, the museum is particularly celebrated for its world-class dinosaur collection from Utah's fossil-rich Morrison Formation and its exceptional collection of Great Basin Native American objects.
